Caesar is a magnificent 4-5 year old brindle male Mastiff, owner-surrendered to an

excellent small shelter in TN with no reason given but no negatives reported. He was

temperament tested and evaluated by one of our ABARS colleagues who described him as “an

exceptionally sweet, gentle boy.”

He travelled happily in the backseat of Lynn Moore’s car from TN to NC and has been terrific at

the boarding facility where our more northern dogs often arrive first. The staff reports that he is

indeed is exceptionally sweet and gentle, confident meeting strangers, cooperative at the vet

office, open and friendly with everyone.

He seems very fond of children and very careful and gentle around the couple he has met.

He has had very little training of any kind, and will pull on the leash if he’s in a hurry to get

somewhere, a dog who will require a foster or adopter with good upper body strength in the

beginning. He has easily learned sit, down and “shake” from the facility staff but still regards

those words simply as “suggestions” to consider.
