Haley is a nine year old mastiff matron who was surrendered to a shelter when her family became homeless and could not find a shelter for themselves that would take a dog, particularly such a large one.
The family had five children so we know she is good with children. She has lived in a foster home with mastiffs but has zero tolerance for any dogs, large or small (particularly small) who are inclined to be noisy or confrontational or even rowdy from time to time.
Haley wants to live in a cozy cottage by the road and be a devoted, adoring friend to every man, woman or child who happens to be around. Her ideal home would be with a person she can sit with, walk with, talk with and ride in the car with. Like many mastiff sweet matrons, she loves company and her creature comforts. She has lovely leash manners. She is polite and respectful. She comes when called, sits and shakes hands. She has been known to chase a cat but has never caught one. She’s funny and very healthy and climbs on any sofa effortlessly!
