Ruffian - Available (NC)

Ruffian is a very beautiful, spunky, affectionate, 5 year old Mastiff who came into a SC shelter as a stray and immediately charmed everyone. The shelter intake comment was “Very easy to process—friendly, loose and wiggly.”

She was dog tested with two dogs at the shelter and greeted both with tail wags and play bows. Despite having lost a good deal of weight she is proud, increasingly regal and confident of her welcome everywhere.

We feel she comes from an excellent home. She seems to have been well-trained and very food motivated. She responds immediately to requests for Sit, Down and Shake. We have not asked for Heel or Stay but suspect that she knows it all. She is by nature polite and easily managed, cooperative at the vet and comfortable about car rides.
