Tank and his sister, Tink, came to SSMR from an excellent private rescue who had talked their previous owner into releasing them from life in an outdoor pen on a farm without the home and
family environment that mastiffs want most. We put them into foster to learn a little about them and they have done splendidly. They have open, laid-back reactions to everything.
Tank is very much the sweet lover of the two, wanting to be with you, hoping for space in your lap. Friendly with everyone, he seems oblivious to other dogs on the foster’s farm and has not had any interaction with them. He has not met any very young children so we don’t know anything about his attitude towards them, but he interacted well with the eleven year old daughter of the first foster who turned them over to SSMR.
He has had almost no training but is a quiet and affectionate boy who has been good on a leash going to the vet’s office and well-behaved when he gets there. He has not been destructive in any way and seems to be housebroken. Though not timid in anyway, he is a very soft dog, who would be happiest with a cuddly family who gave him time to adjust to the world of things he does not yet know.
