Trudy (VA)

Trudy is a 1 year old brindle girl currently located in Virginia. She is an affectionate dog who instantly bonded with her foster mom. Trudy follows her around and is very excited when her mom enters a room.

Trudy does very well with adults: very comfortable with females and takes a little more time to get comfortable with men. She can be guarded at the beginning when meeting strangers at the park, but warms up to them especially with a soft, side approach. She is good with kids as long as she is slowly and calmly introduced to them.

Her foster family reports that she knows her name and will come when called. She is house and crate trained. She does not like getting a leash on at the beginning, but once going she walks well on a leash. She will need more training to teach her commands and more socialization to overcome her shyness.

With other dogs she is good both with the foster family's dogs and the dogs big and small that she meets at the park. She is in good health and ready for her forever family.
