Southern States Mastiff Rescue covers the states of:
We are only able to accept English Mastiffs from these states and adopt to these states.
We help Old English Mastiffs that are from shelters, strays, and abandoned. We accept dogs into the rescue program from persons unable to care for their English Mastiff anymore.
If you have an English Mastiff that you are considering surrendering to SSMR, please remember that we only accept purebred dogs from our limited geographic area. We cannot accept dogs that have demonstrated aggression towards people or animals.

SSMR is a 501(c)(3) organization and continues to exist only through the many hours of work our volunteers provide and through the generous financial support of donors and grant organizations.
SSMR requires an adoption fee of $550 for Adult Mastiffs, $600 for Puppies, and $300 for Senior Mastiffs and Mixes. Dogs are vet checked, spayed or neutered, brought up to date on shots and are tested for Heartworm and started on a preventative before being placed in adoptive homes.
Southern States Mastiff Rescue is a 501(c)-3 Charitable Trust and donations are tax deductible. Since 2005, we have rehabilitated and placed over 1500 English Mastiffs.
