  • Seattle – grad student ’09 adoption of Ripley, live almost 16 years. Just passed. Susan- send a condolence note? (email the note to kojitoshi@gmail.com)

New Business:  

• Susan-  Can you send $415.59 tax letter to Lexie McDaniel – she paid for  vetting of Libby and Max. Were outside dogs. Learning how to be inside.
• Libby/Max- Lisa can you confirm owner  surrender forms and foster forms. We need DB numbers from Bob. HW  negative. Max good on weight. Libby might need to lose a pound.

• Dogs:
  • Maple in gmail- Not an EM. Dawn to let them know.
  • Charley, Carter and Sweetie at Animal  Services - Montgomery County (montgomerycountync.com). VM and email sent to get more info- 3 EM’s – would need to be manually added to jotforms if we take them in.
  • Sheeba at Adopt  . Save A Life — Screven County, GA (screvencountyboc.com) VM and email sent. Looks to be an EM. Will help transport. Would need to be manually added to jotforms if we take them in.
  • Bubbles (TX)- We have a TX applicant. 1.5 hours apart. Dawn to contact applicant and surrendering owner.
  • Eros- in boarding, moving to Ross S. via plan on 11/6. Vet appt on Friday 11/8. 
  • Maggie- Dawn to call.
  • Exley and Leo- Lynn has tried to email. Will call tomorrow.
  • Zeke- passed away- Susan has a note been sent to adopters? (Osteosacrcoma) Lynn to get DB number from Bob.

  Past Bustiness Follow up:   

1. Charley/Carter/Sweetie- Montgomery county (NC)? What happened? We are  taking in all three. Need to manually add to jotforms and post them. SSMR  email has some info. Dawn to send the info so we can post/add to JF. Lynn has folders set up for each.
2. Sheeba in Screven County (GA)- What happened? She is ours,  Dawn to get a write up on her and add to JF.
3. Bubbles- Dawn were they connected to TX applicant? (yes, Cari Buckley- no response yet)
4. Exley/Leo- Lynn any luck with meeting/photos?  Lynn to try again.
5. Nala- Did Lisa sent surrender form to Lynn?  Lynn to get DB number
6. Is Willie Corey adopting Maizey? (Dawn) Foster wants records-  Dawn sent. Will know soon.

New Business:  

• Claire is taking a break, sent us people who may help.

• Max and Libby are not ready to move- doing great at foster home.

• We reviewed and revised JF – many applicants are in progress by Dawn/Kathleen/Kimberly. 

Success Stories:

• Maggie (formerly Ginger) is doing well. She is the sweetest and most sociable girl. She loves every adult, every child, every dog (regardless of size). Every visitor is her new best friend. Poor Rupert has worked hard to guide her toward appropriate behavior (especially with small children, he taught her to be so gentle), but the fact that she has not an ounce of suspicion or protectiveness in her soul drives him a bit crazy at times. She's also very active (see attached picture--she can't fathom why she would lay or sit still at a distance when she could be right up against me). From what I can remember of the description of her father Copper, she is definitely her daddy's girl and there are moment's I'm convinced she got not one ounce of her mama's mastiff genetics. She's been tall and lanky but has recently started putting on the layer of muscle we'd expect for both breeds around this age. It's fun to watch them do that final push to be the dog they were meant to be. 

• Freyja (formerly Dusty) has had her second heat, and we plan on scheduling her spay next month. She’s a 140 lb troublemaker who is convinced she’s still a puppy who fits in our lap, but we adore her!

• Honcho Bursky (formerly Hoss) passed the AKC Community Canine, Urban CGC and Canine Good Citizen tests so we can share his amazing personality and gentle heart with hospitalized patients, nursing homes and maybe even schoolchildren.     
       "SSMR, you have no idea how much he means to us (and to Lambchop, who is his designated spokesmodel!).  Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

It has been quite the couple of years for SSMR, but we have done good work.

New Business:         

• Plan needed: Need a date old FB site ends. Post daily “This  site will sunset on XX date. Make sure you are following our new site at  XXXX”        
  • Discussion among attendees was to keep both until we have  greater growth on the new page. 132 comments on Sheeba to 7 was a  driver.  We can utilize Meta to respond and can see all three  (Instagram, and both FB pages).
  • We agreed to post a weekly @everyone on old site to promote growth to the new page.
  • Lidia is going to add a “donate” button to the new page.
  • Dawn is going to create a fundraiser to support Dozer due to food costs. 
• JF- Lidia will add an “n/a” field for “are your current pets spayed/neutered” for those that do not have pets.

• Dogs:

  • Zaria- Dawn to email to ask about timeline
  • Nash- Dawn to call SO. Why the cone?  If all ok, will create FB post and add to website.
