Henry (SC)

Additional Information

🌟 MEET HENRY — THE GENTLE GIANT WHO JUST NEEDS A SOFT PLACE TO LAND 🌟

(Fawn • 3 years old • 200 lbs of marshmallow energy)

Everyone, say hello to Henry — or as we lovingly call him, Sir Hunk-a-Lot. Yes, he really is 200 pounds. Yes, he thinks he’s a lap dog. And no, he does not understand personal space. At all. 😅💛

Henry came to us as an owner surrender and has had a rough start in life. He’s neutered, healthy, laid-back, goofy, and absolutely gorgeous… but he’s also a deeply sensitive soul who carries some heavy emotional scars.

💔 Henry is permanently traumatized and may never fully recover.

He’s not aggressive — not even a little — but he is terrified of many things, especially new people (men in particular). He may always submissively urinate when scared or overwhelmed. This isn’t a training issue. It’s simply who he is, and he needs a family who can love him exactly as he is.

✨ What Henry does offer:

• A gentle, giant-sized shadow who loves other big dogs

• A goofy, sweet presence who just wants to exist peacefully

• A heart that tries so hard, even when the world feels scary

• A dog who will love you quietly, softly, and on his own terms

✨ What Henry needs:

• A female-only home

• A giant-breed dog friend to help him feel safe

• A quiet, low-traffic environment

• Someone who understands that affection must be on his terms

• A patient, compassionate human who won’t expect him to be “normal”

• Someone who won’t mind a little (okay… sometimes a lot) of fear pee 🙃💦

• A home where fireworks, loud noises, and chaos are rare

Henry has lived peacefully with other large dogs and does wonderfully with them. He hasn’t been tested with small dogs or cats. He’s mostly been an outside dog, and he does have some separation anxiety. But he walks nicely on a leash and truly wants to be brave — he just needs the right person to help him feel safe.

He is broken in ways we can’t fix… but that doesn’t mean he isn’t worthy of love. Some souls simply need a softer world, and Henry is one of them. 🐶💛

If you have a quiet home, a big dog buddy, a gentle heart, and room for a 200-pound emotional support potato… Henry might be your guy.

📩 Message us and fill an application if you think you might be Henry’s safe place. He deserves a home where he can finally exhale.

🐾💛 Please share — his person is out there.
