BRING YOUR MASTIFF TO THE RESCUE PARADE AT THE MASTIFF SPECIALTY SHOW!

✅ Want to see more than a hundred mastiffs in the same place at the same time? 

• The mastiff rescue parade will be held at the Mastiff Specialty Show where more than 100 Mastiffs will be entered in events such as obedience and carting as well as the usual confirmation.

✅ Want to meet lots of rescued mastiffs and talk with their owners? 

• Rescued mastiffs, their owners, and SSMR volunteers (with hundreds of years of Mastiff experience!) will be at the ring to help you at the parade, answer questions & and talk Mastiffs. 

✅ Want to show off your own rescue? 

• During the Parade, dogs go in the ring one at a time on lead with their owners. A short paragraph about the dog is read while the two of you walk around the ring. Usually, there is some low-key clapping, but if that would startle your dog, we make an announcement requesting quiet. If you are bringing two dogs, and need someone to walk one of them, we can help with that.    

✅ To participate, provide the following:

• your dog’s name
• approximate age
• if you know how your dog came into rescue; divorce, stray, owner’s illness, family lost their home, etc.
• what you love about your dog!

• There are vendors selling all things mastiff- from collars that fit our dogs, to toys they love, to jewelry for us that looks like our Mastiffs. 

✅ Remarkable Opportunity:

• The large, personal collection of Mastiff items collected by Kelly Meyer, long term Mastiff Breeder, Treasurer, and Board Member for MCOA, SSMF, and SSMR, is being sold at the silent auction. Kelly passed in 2024 and left her massive mastiff collection to SSMR. 
• The silent auction closes at 1:00 PM Friday, May 25 (when the Rescue Parade begins). Come early to the hotel if you want to view and bid on items.
